Thrift Store / Antique Finds (Copy)

Lately I have been CRUSHING on silver tray and tea sets.

I know I know… most people think of their grandmother’s set!

For me I think of classic elegance and beauty that is great for entertaining. A timeless piece that everyone should have.

I have secretly been on the hunt for almost a year for these items!… (You have to understand one thing about me, I am the type of person that once am idea comes to me, I won’t stop talking about it until I find it, create it, purchase it or simply “just do it” like Nike!)

I was finding silver tray and tea sets can be super expensive and I’m just not ready to make that type of investment on those items.

Now don’t get me wrong, I will definitely make the investment when I find it is an item I will use everyday or is one of a kind. We all eventually get to the point in our lives where we splurge on “investment pieces” here and there.

I have been getting into thrifting / antiquing because not only does it bring me joy, but it also gives an old soul vibe in some of your accent pieces to decorate with. Knowing there was a history behind the piece is what I find pretty neat and is something that money can’t buy. My personal taste is mixing the old with the new!

This past weekend I was able to find one piece of my set. I purchased this Silver tray for $25.00 at a local thrift store and couldn’t be happier!

I am here to tell you your style does not have to be expensive! it can be curated for less!

Tip for Cleaning: Create a paste of baking soda, water, vinegar and scrub gently. Let the paste sit for 30 mins. Rinse with warm water and dry with an old white t-shirt. This will take away the tarnish and leave your tray looking brand new!
